Raiker Venn is ancient, exceptionally powerful, sociopathic, and utterly insane, incapable of reconciling the vastness of the Multiverse with his poetic craft. As such, he manipulates events in order to send the lives of mortals and Planeswalkers alike spiralling into horror and despair, solely to provide fodder for his poems, which he believes lends them a gravity that might in some small way counterbalance the terrifying vastness of the Blind Eternities.

He carries a cane composed of many rare and unique materials, and he has survived the Mending seemingly almost unscathed, suggesting that he is among the most powerful 'Walkers still living.

The planeswalker Jade, who was turned to the stone of her name by Raiker, is tracking him across the planes after experiencing, shall we say, buyer's remorse.
